• Jesuit Connection
  • Many catholics thought of the Rosicrucians as of crypto-jezuits. A pamphlet written in 1782, “Der Rozenkreuzer in seiner Blösse” (The Rosicrucian in his Nakedness) described them and the Templars as mere puppets of a hidden jezuit kabbal. Some Rose Cross members even started to think they were infiltrated. (The quest for the phoenix: spiritual alchemy and Rosicrucianism in the work of Count Michael Maier (1569-1622), Volume 88, p123) [3]
